Lauren Rollo-Juchno
AuD / Supervising Audiologist
Meet Lauren Rollo-Juchno
Lauren went to the University of Akron for her Bachelor of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology (2011) and The Northeast Ohio AuD Consortium for her Doctor of Audiology (2015). She conducted her externship at Pittsburgh Ear Associates, a neuro-otology practice.
She is trained in the diagnostics and treatment of hearing loss, tinnitus, and balance disorders. She has 10 years of experience treating hearing loss and tinnitus with hearing devices as a dispensing audiologist; however, she is also trained in cochlear implants and other surgical devices, diagnosing vestibular disorders, and electrophysiology testing.
Lauren’s favorite thing about becoming a hearing care professional is that she finds it extremely gratifying that she can instantly help patients hear the wonderful world around them, improving the relationships they have with their loved ones.
In order to stay current with the latest advancements and best practices, Lauren is constantly participating in trainings and conferences, and also looks to the knowledge of her coworkers in the field. She prides herself in always applying the best practices that she learned through her doctoral program and furthermore through her required continuing education credits for her license.
Something that sets Lauren apart from other healthcare providers is her thoroughness, attention to detail, and accuracy when it comes to the “science” of fitting hearing devices to ensure the best sound quality as possible; while also bringing kindness, gentleness, and an overall enjoyable experience. It’s so important to her to form genuine relationships with patients so that she can truly tailor the devices to their life and individual needs.
Her favorite way to spend her days is having quality time spent with her 2 girls who are the loves of her life: Nora (5) Dylan (3). She enjoys listening to audiobooks and would consider herself a “foodie”- she loves trying new recipes and restaurants in town.
“I can remember one of my first patients being reluctantly fit with hearing devices. She had many of the same reservations that others often do- feeling like hearing aids would make her appear old, not being ready, thinking her loss wasn’t bad enough for help. However, that week after picking up her granddaughter from school, she cried when she realized she could have a conversation with her while she was sitting in the backseat. She felt like she got her relationship back with her granddaughter that day…the most important person in her life.”
